Large house sleeps twelve comfortably. It is situated at the edge
of silver birch woods in a spectacular mountain setting just 3 miles
from the popular heritage town of Kenmare.
The grounds in front and to one side are landscaped to the natural
contours of the land and incorporate a beautiful descending stream
and a barbeque area.
Built in 2000 the house is fully equipped to a very high standard with
all the usual modern facilities. It is 4 star approved.
It is ideally suited for families or small groups as there is a great
sense of space both within and without.
The reception area with its vaulted ceiling, its huge glass panes,
slate floor and sculpted elm stairway contribute to that sense of
space, light and comfort. There are two twin bedrooms on the ground
floor each with their own access and one is very convenient for the
elderly or disabled. There is wheelchair access. The kitchen living
room area is spacious and accommodating and opens onto a balcony
with views of mountains and woods. The kitchen is fully equipped
with gas hob electric fan oven and microwave and dishwasher. There
is a sink and washing machine in the utility room. There are three
twin bedrooms and one double and one single on the lstfloor. Every
bedroom has en suite shower, sink and toilet with linens and towels
provided It is tranquil safe and peaceful. Elegant use of glass and
wood together with the artwork and ceramics lend a distinctive
atmosphere to this house. It is adjacent to the owners ceramic art
studio.
There is spring water. Visitors can buy organic food from
neighbouring growers.
There is an open -fire.
Pets are welcome but must be housed in the basement and are never
allowed in bedrooms.
Heating (radiators and or under-floor) and electricity are extra and
are meter read.
Parking no problem.
