Carraig Liath overlooks the beautiful fishing village of Portmagee with views of the sea, islands and mystic mountains. Although on Valentia Island we are just 5 minutes walk into Portmagee. Ideally located as a base for touring both Valentia and South Kerry, its proximity to Portmagee lend itself magnificently to those that wish to visit the world famous Skelligs Islands by taking one of the daily boat trips(Summertime Only - ask and we'll arrange the trip for you).
Valentia Island is one of the most westerly points of Europe (Next Stop America) and has a fascinating history thet provides many things to see from early relegious settlements to the trans-Atlantic cable stations of the 19th century.
Local amenities include - horse riding, rock & deep sea fishing, diving, walking, golf and bird watching.
Location : Carraig Liath is situated directly across the bridge and is the first house on your right adjecent to the Skellig Experience Centre. Just 5 minutes walk to Portmagee where you can sample traditional Irish Bars & Restaurants.
